Passport Photo:
- Taken within last 6 months to present your current appearance
Facial Expression:
- Directly face the camera
- With a neutral expression or natural smile
- With both eyes open
Attire:
- Wear normal clothes, no uniforms except religious clothing that is worn daily
- Head coverings are only allowed for religious purposes and must not obscure the face
- Glasses are not allowed, except for medical reasons

Photo Submission Requirement:
- You must submit a photo with your passport application.
Face Positioning:
- Your head must face the camera directly with your full face in view. Your face should be centered in the frame, and your full head, from the top of your hair to the bottom of your chin, should be visible.
Facial Expression Requirement:
- You must have a neutral facial expression or a natural smile, with both eyes open. A neutral expression means your face should be relaxed and show no discernible emotion. Your lips should be closed or slightly open, without any hint of a smile or other expression. Your eyes should look straight into the camera.
Image Clarity:
- Use a clear image of your face. Do not use filters commonly found on social media, as they can distort your facial image and create an unnatural expression.
Clothing Requirement:
- The photo should be taken in clothing normally worn on a daily basis.
Timeliness Requirement:
- The photo should be taken within the last 6 months.
Background Requirement:
- Use a plain white or off-white background.
Size Requirement:
- The photo must be sized correctly: 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm).
- The head must be between 1 - 1 3/8 inches (25 - 35 mm) from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head.

Eyewear Requirement:
- You cannot wear glasses.
- If you cannot remove your glasses for medical reasons, please include a signed note from your doctor with your application.
Headwear Requirement:
- You cannot wear a hat or head covering.
- If you wear a hat or head covering for religious purposes, submit a signed statement verifying that the hat or head covering in your photo is part of recognized, traditional religious attire that is customarily or required to be worn continuously in public.
- If you wear a hat or head covering for medical purposes, submit a signed doctor's statement verifying that the hat or head covering in your photo is used daily for medical purposes.
Full Face Visibility Requirement:
- Your full face must be visible, and your hat or head covering cannot obscure your hairline or cast shadows on your face.
Headphone Requirement:
- You cannot wear headphones or wireless hands-free devices.
